Research interests

My research program deals with the formation and the evolution of galaxies with a particular emphasis on:

  1. Development of chemodynamical hydro/N-body codes (including dark halo, stars, gas, star formation recipes, chemical evolution, feedback, etc.) to study galactic evolution in open-box environments (constrained by large scale cosmological simulations)
  2. Physical properties of the central regions of galaxies: AGN fuelling, circumnuclear star formation, nuclear inflows/outflows, central velocity dispersion drops, etc.
  3. Dynamics and kinematics of stellar bars using orbit-based modelling (Schwarzschild technique) and N-body simulations

I am also involved in the Theoretical Virtual Observatory.
