Main research program
Formation and evolution of galaxies
With a special emphasis on:
Development of chemodynamical hydro/N-body codes (including dark halo, stars, gas, star formation recipes, chemical evolution, feedback, etc.) to study galactic evolution in open-box environments (constrained by large scale cosmological simulations)
Physical properties of the central regions of galaxies: AGN fuelling, circumnuclear star formation, nuclear inflows/outflows, central velocity dispersion drops, etc.
Dynamics and kinematics of stellar bars using orbit-based modelling (Schwarzschild technique), Chirikov diffusion and N-body simulations
Virtual Observatory
Publishing simulation products in the Virtual Observatory
I am also involved in the Theoretical Virtual Observatory (IVOA).
